When CCADV newsletter arrives, I am anxious to read what the coalition has been up to. I often take away new statistics\u00a0and info to share at my speaking events. In this issue they covered State Policy updates, New Series of Campus Safety\u00a0Trainings, Safe Futures, etc.<\/h5>\n
This September, once again\u00a0 I will be attending the Children\u2019s Center Fall Symposium, a day filled with updated information,\u00a0and great presenters. I am certainly interested in the presentation on how persistent fear and anxiety can affect young\u00a0children\u2019s learning behavior and health.\u00a0Today I want to focus on their new Prevention Campaign\u00a0 \u201cI Choose\u201d they kicked off this past June.<\/h5>\n
\u201cI Choose\u201d is focusing on engaging boys, and men, to make positive life changes that don\u2019t involve violence. With the right teachers, mentors and tools, boys can delete what they believe about violence being a choice, and rise above it. The important messages:\u00a0\u201cI choose respect\u201d,\u00a0\u201cI choose not to normalize violence towards women\u201d and\u00a0\u201cI choose to take a stand against domestic violence\u201d are heard throughout.\u00a0Please take a moment to watch this very quick video.
